CONVIVIO - From Italian Literature to Art: The Practice of Erasure

Exhibition The Italian Cultural Institute Became a One-Day Artistic Residency for 17 International Artists On 26 September, the Italian Cultural Institute Abu Dhabi hosted a one-day artistic residency as part of the CONVIVIO – From Italian Literature to Art: The Practice of Erasure project. 17 international artists came together to explore Italian literature through the practice of erasure, transforming fragments of text into original works of art. The residency created a space where literature, visual art and cultural exchange met around a shared table. The works created during the residency will be presented during the XXVI Week of the Italian Language in the World at the Italian Cultural Institute Abu Dhabi. Art materials were kindly provided by Industria Maimeri, one of Italy’s leading manufacturers of fine art materials. Stay tuned for the CONVIVIO exhibition.
