Stillness – An Evening of Presence & Silence

Perhaps this is a good moment to explore the opposite. Stillness. An evening to slow down, step away from the constant doing, and discover what happens when we simply allow ourselves to be. Together, we will explore stillness — not so much as something to understand or achieve, but as something to experience. The evening will include brief reflections inspired by contemporary teachers such as Eckhart Tolle and Rupert Spira, periods of silence, simple contemplative practices, personal reflection, and meaningful conversation. There is no particular philosophy or belief to follow, and no previous meditation experience is needed. Just a welcoming space where you can slow down, be yourself, and explore — without expectations or pressure to achieve anything. Among the questions we'll explore: • What do we actually mean by stillness? • Why does doing nothing sometimes feel so uncomfortable? • Can we experience stillness even when the mind is busy? • And how can stillness become part of our ordinary, everyday lives? Whether you're interested in presence, awareness, contemplative practice, philosophy, or simply curious about what happens when we stop filling every moment with activity — you're welcome. No preparation is necessary. Just bring your curiosity — and perhaps a willingness not to have all the answers. Come as you are. Sit for a while. Listen. Speak. Be silent. Just be. Warmly, Dieter & Tom PS: A contribution of €20 will be collected to cover the costs, like sandwiches, drinks, cookies, coffee, tea, and room . Additional donations are most welcome. It creates the space to quiet the mind, soften the heart, and reconnect with what matters.” (N.N.)
