Mindfulness and Effective Communication for our Romantic Life The science of Dating – Mindfulness and Effective Communication for our Romantic Life Dating should be a pleasant aspect of our lives, but it can also be very frustrating, in particular within the queer community. Getting to know new people and finding the one(s) we click with can be hindered by lack of communication, ghosting, unclear goals, emotional exhaustion. In this workshop we will talk about the science behind dating and explore tools for navigating rejection, conflicts, romantic frustration. You’ll explore: • Neuroscience of rejection sensitivity, science of belonging, romantic connection, dopamine circuit • How to communicate our needs and goals in an effective way • Active listening methods for dating, empathy for understanding other people’s needs, (self) compassion • Group activities and discussion for sharing tips, tricks and common situations Join us for discovering how to make our dating life better. Please bring paper and a pen.
