Thomas Henry: HYPER ANGLAIS | English Stand-Up Comedy Vienna @TheComedyPub

British comedian Thomas Henry brings HYPER ANGLAIS to Vienna: sharp stand-up about love, Europe, culture shock and failing spectacularly to An Englishman falls in love with a French woman and moves to Paris. What could possibly go wrong? Quite a lot, apparently. British comedian Thomas Henry brings HYPER ANGLAIS to Vienna – a sharp, story-driven stand-up comedy show about being British in Europe, falling in love across cultures and desperately trying to feel at home somewhere that remains stubbornly unconvinced by your presence. British wit meets an outsider’s perspective in a hilarious fish-out-of-water story about love, language, identity and the daily absurdities of living abroad. What to Expect Thomas loves Europe. Europe is still thinking about it. HYPER ANGLAIS explores the strange reality of leaving Britain behind and attempting to build a new life on the continent. Expect sharp observational storytelling, dry British humour, cultural misunderstandings and the kind of everyday situations that become completely ridiculous when you’re experiencing them in a country that isn’t your own. If you’ve ever moved abroad, dated someone from another culture, struggled to fit in or wondered why Europeans do things differently, there’s a good chance this show will feel painfully familiar.
