Agents perform tasks ranging from operating applications on your computer to interacting with websites. They can read and write Office documents, provide morning briefs, write you an email directly in gmail, and book holidays online (to name just a few examples). If it is something that can be done on a computer, it is a candidate for agent automation. Over the next few years this will become common place. But where to start now? Come to this half-day workshop to go from agent-curious to agent-competent. Not in theory, but in practice. We’ll work live to create an AI agent tailored to you, focusing on configuring it to understand your world. We’ll also work through an end-to-end example workflow you can extend as a basis for your own solutions. As a group, we shall take one step at a time, following along with the facilitator. All workshops are designed to be fun and collaborative — while keeping a practical focus. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Doors open at 9:15am, and we will get started on the dot at 9:30am. There will be a short break of 20 minutes — bring your own snacks. This knowledge is largely transferable to other AI providers. Required Knowledge • Basic chatbot familiarity, such as chatting to ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. • Confidence with everyday use of Windows or macOS, including managing files and folders and copying and pasting between apps. • No agent experience required. • No programming experience required. • The facilitator will provide as much support as possible, but is not able to provide technical support for individual computer issues that will take them away from the group. Note that work-managed laptops may not be suitable if installation or security settings are controlled by your employer, or if your employer has AI policy restrictions. • A Windows 11 laptop with at least 8 GB of RAM or An Apple silicon Mac (M1 or later), with macOS 15+ • Make sure your laptop is fully charged when you bring it. Power outlets may be limited. • Make sure you have a backup of your data in the unlikely event of data loss. • Before attending, download ChatGPT Desktop at https://chatgpt.com/download/ and sign in with a paid ChatGPT subscription. The free tier does not provide enough usage for Codex. Start with a low tier and you can always move up as necessary. About the Facilitator Lloyd has been deeply immersed in the world of agents since the start of the year, working full time to create a startup AI software company (Bounded Agency). Lloyd has five years of experience in software development and three years of experience teaching English as a second language (ESL). He loves presenting ideas in simple ways and likes to make teaching fun rather than dry. He is excited to share his knowledge and help others implement agents to improve their lives.
