Cyber Security for Business Roundtable #1 Assume Breach: Why Early Reporting Matters More Than Prevention? What happens when an employee makes a cyber security mistake? In many organisations, the real risk isn't the mistake itself, it's the delay in reporting it. Join a select group of business leaders for an executive roundtable exploring how leadership, culture, and psychological safety influence cyber security outcomes. Through expert insights and peer discussion, we'll examine how organisations can encourage early reporting, strengthen resilience, and adopt an "assume breach" mindset that supports faster detection and response. Facilitator: Dr Andrew Reeves, Cyber Resilience and Deterrence| Cyber Assurance and Resilience |Information Sciences Division, Defence Science and Technology Group Dr Andrew Reeves is a Research Specialist in Human Aspects of Cyber Security within Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG). He is a registered organisational psychologist whose work focuses on understanding and improving the human behaviours, decisions and organisational conditions that shape cyber security. Andrew has previously served as the Deputy Director of UNSW IFCYBER and Director of Organisational and Behavioural Research at Cybermindz. His research and applied work spans cyber security culture, security awareness fatigue, cyber workforce wellbeing and the risks associated with emerging technologies. Refreshments provided. Limited to 12 participants to enable meaningful discussion and peer learning.
