Mahler's Tenth Symphony: Completing the Unfinished Gustav Mahler died in 1911 leaving sketches and fragments of a final masterpiece. Five decades later, following the approval of Mahler's widow Alma, the British Mahler expert Deryck Cooke completed the symphony. The result is hauntingly beautiful and profoundly moving.
