Exhibition: The Nature of the Hidden World: A Mega Story

About the Exhibition Culture, history and science collide at this free exhibition showing in the gallery space at Yitpi Yartapuultiku. Designed by historian Denise Schumann OAM, the exhibition delves into the complex relationship between Kaurna and First Nations Dreaming stories and the extinction of Australia’s megafauna 50,000 years ago. At the heart of this ancient tale is the discovery of the remains of the extraordinary creature the Diprotodon near Deadman’s Pass at Gawler in 1891. There is an increasing recognition that fossils, scientific research, and history play a crucial role in unearthing the truth about life on Earth and its preservation. All welcome. This is a FREE exhibition, however school bookings are required, see below for more information. You only need to book a ticket if you are a school group. School Bookings To support a smooth visitor experience, school groups are required to book a dedicated 45-minute session through Humanitix prior to attending the exhibition. Bookings are available Monday to Friday between 10:00am and 3:00pm. Booking Information • All school visits must be pre-booked through Humanitix. • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your session time. • Group numbers and supervising teacher details are required at time of booking.
