Human Connection Course for Friendships - Blackwood Community Centre

FREE - 4 x weekly course designed to build confidence in meeting new people. This course is held over four weeks. The dates for each workshop are below: • Fri, 16 Oct, 1:30pm - 3.30pm • Fri, 23 Oct, 1:30pm - 3:30pm • Fri, 30 Oct, 1:30pm - 3:30pm • Fri, 6 Nov, 1:30pm - 3:30pm We all deserve to have meaningful friendships in our life - but it doesn't always feel easy to do that, and loneliness is the worst feeling. This course is designed to help you take that first step to making new friends. Yes, it is possible to quell those nerves, and feel more confident when you meet someone new! This is a very kind and comfortable 2 hour course held over four weeks where you will learn new tips and gain confidence in meeting others. Rest assured, others in the group will feel just as nervous to begin with as you. We have some fun, we practice with each other, and by the end of the four weeks you will know a bit more about how to manage those nerves, and how to feel more confident when meeting others. It does take a bit of courage to join up - but we have your back. Kylie the course facilitator, is a very experienced social worker, lecturer and mental health worker; and your wellbeing is her number one priority. Go on..take that next step and join us.
