Metal Embossing Workshop

Create your own unique decorations and discover how simple tools can transform foil sheets into beautiful textured designs. Discover the art of metal embossing and transform thin sheets of embossing aluminium into gorgeous textured designs. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn easy embossing techniques to create your own unique piece to take home. Experiment with pattern, design, texture and mark making with a range of tools, including household objects, to make your own one-of-a-kind decoration. All basic materials are supplied. However if you have your own small sharp craft/embroidery scissors, and/or a portable wireless craft lamp, please bring them along if you are able to do so, to make your crafting experience more enjoyable. A small piece of craft foam will be provided for use in the class for embossing your metal on. But if you have a spare mouse pad, or small knitting/crochet blocking mat, bring it along as you may find the thicker and denser foam more preferable. If you can't bring along any of these items though, don't worry as you'll still have everything you need to be able to make some lovely work! Two workshop dates available: • Saturday 21 November 10:30am • Friday 4 December 2pm Both workshops are identical, please only book into one. Suitable for ages 15+. Bookings are essential. Location: Tirkanthi Kuu, Level 1, Payinthi.
