Moving forward together – building WCC in SA/Adelaide (10.30 am option)

Moving forward together – building WCC in SA/Adelaide IIn July SA WCC members and allies met up or the first time at our ‘Stronger together’ event as part of Adelaide Climate Action Week (ACAW). And since then we have acted on the concerns expressed by attendees at that gathering about the Adelaide Parklands by writing to the SA Premier/Government, Adelaide local council and the federal governament about this issue. Now we can gather again to look ahead for how to build our voice in SA. What might an Adelaide/SA WCC Hub look like? For example, can we ensure that climate mitigation is part of the Adelaide Parklands planning? What other projects could we build together? We can be guided by the WCC Charter for Change and ideas from the ACAW communique that lays out practical outcomes for COP31. And of course, our own ideas. Together we are stronger. We warmly invite you to join other WCC members and allies to explore these propositions. Join us again, or for the first time, to meet with like-minded women of all ages to share, discuss and create women-led climate action for SA. Please also extend this invitation to your women friends, daughters, nieces, granddaughters(WCC welcomes those who identify as women, in all diversity).
