Painting Landing Pads (Kids ages 9-12) - Blackwood Community Centre

Every 9 – 12-year-old will love this hands on, nature friendly rock painting workshop where creativity meets caring for our pollinators. Join Mondees Bees at Blackwood Community Centre's Sustainable Saturday to create landing pads for pollinators. Young artists will decorate smooth garden pebbles with bright colours and cheerful designs, adding some buzz to the garden with these colourful landing pads that help thirsty bees and other pollinators stay safe while they drink. It’s a joyful blend of art and environmental kindness—perfect for curious minds that enjoy making beautiful things with a purpose. This workshop is fun, and wonderfully memorable, giving everyone a chance to create something that supports the buzzing world around them. Please book tickets in the child's name, bookings not required for parents/carers. Although our skilled staff will be onsite, parent/carers are responsible for the supervision of their children during the session. Also onsite is a Repair Cafe so bring a broken household item in need of repair or have a chat with our volunteer energy helpers, who love to share information on solar and electric cars and ways to lower your bills. Both of these sessions can be booked on eventbrite or walkins are available.
