2027 Workshop Dates: March 20 (Early Bird closes 23 January 2027) September 18 (Early Bird closes 24 July 2027) The Newborn Advanced Life Support (NALS) workshop is designed for medical and nursing staff to be accredited/reaccredited in the skills required for Newborn Advanced Life Support. The workshop is delivered in a supportive learning environment and uses interactive online pre-learning to cover core knowledge and a one day workshop for procedural skills and simulation training. The course is suited to health professionals who wish to extend/renew their knowledge in resuscitation of the newborn in the labour ward, operating theatre, following (unplanned) birthing in the emergency department and in rural and remote environments. The training will assist to build the confidence and skills required to recognise and respond to a newborn requiring resuscitation. Key skills that will covered in the workshop include: • NALS algorithm • Newborn Airway management and Bag/Mask Ventilation • Set up and use of the Neopuff Ventilator • Newborn Cardiac compressions • Umbilical Vein Access • Advanced life Support medications and fluids • Reversible causes in Newborn advanced life support • Certification of Skills: Post MCQ and Competency Assessment
