Ambleside Distillers is a working distillery, restaurant, bar and garden destination set across three acres on the main street of Hahndorf. Founded in 2016 and built from the garden up, Ambleside produces award-winning spirits shaped by the flavours and landscape of the Adelaide Hills. Botanicals grown in the on-site distillery garden are used throughout the spirits and bar, alongside ingredients sourced from producers across South Australia. Visitors can settle in for tasting flights, cocktails, masterclasses and long lunches overlooking the gardens, gum trees and neighbouring paddocks. Ambleside creates uncomplicated, flavour-forward spirits with a strong sense of place. We respect the traditional craft of distilling, but we are not afraid to test new ideas, work with unexpected ingredients and give every release its own personality. The result is a range made to be poured, shared and remembered, from bright modern gins and seasonal releases to schnapps, whisky and ready-to-drink favourites.
