Pet First Aid - October 2026

This year, we're offering both 3.5-hour and 5.5-hour courses to make this valuable training accessible to more members of our community. Suitable for dog, cat and small pet owners, with n prior experience required. Both workshops cover: • Pet wellness checks • Taking vital signs in an emergency • CPR and rescue breathing • Managing bleeding and applying bandages The 5.5-hour workshop also covers: • Fractures and limb injuries • Bites and stings • Poisoning and snake bites • Safe transport of injured pets Both workshops are accredited training courses. Participants who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate valid for two years. 3.5-hour workshop details Vickers Street Community Hub Saturday 24 October, 10:00am-1:30pm Learmonth Football and Netball Club Wednesday 28 October, 10:00am-1:30pm Miners Rest Community Hall Thursday 29 October, 10:00am-1:30pm Light refreshments provided. 5.5-hour workshop details Buninyong Town Hall Sunday 25 October, 11:00am-4:30pm Cardigan Village Community Centre Monday 26 October, 9:30am-3:00pm Brown Hill Community Hall Tuesday 27 October, 9:30am-3:00pm Lunch provided. About the trainer Presented by Leanne Carney from A Dogs Life Pet First Aid Care and Nutrition. Important information - Pets cannot attend these sessions.
