A 2 hour immersion weaving Himalayan pranayama breathwork with Spinal Energetics. I'm bringing something new to BALLARAT: SOMANA SPINAL, a 2 hour immersion combining my own SOMANA Method, rooted in Himalayan pranayama breath practices, with Spinal Energetics. This experience reflects something that sits at the heart of all of my work now. Less catharsis. More awareness. Less pushing. More listening. Less searching outside of yourself. More coming inward. For me, this work is not about forcing the body into a release or believing that healing needs to look big or dramatic. It is an invitation to meet yourself with compassion, curiosity and gentleness. To become aware of what your body is communicating without immediately needing to change it. Why this lineage of breath The breath practices woven through the SOMANA Method draw from Himalayan pranayama traditions, where breath becomes a pathway inward. Rather than using the breath to push the nervous system toward an outcome, we use it to cultivate awareness, presence and a deeper relationship with the body. Breath creates the space to listen. Spinal Energetics then offers another layer of exploration through the spine, energy and nervous system, meeting the body where it is rather than asking it to perform. Together, they become a practice of awareness and integration. What to expect You'll be guided through a SOMANA Himalayan pranayama breath journey, followed by Spinal Energetics and time for stillness and integration. Your experience may be incredibly subtle. It may feel expansive. You may notice sensation, emotion, movement, stillness, clarity or simply a greater awareness of yourself. There is no right response. There is nothing you need to release. There is nowhere you need to get to. The invitation is simply to notice, listen and allow your body to show you what is present.
