Stage Ready Industry Conversations Networking Night: Support Act

Join us at the Ballaarat Mechanics' Institute for an open and welcoming conversation about the importance of mental health and wellbeing in the music industry. Throughout the evening, we’ll explore the challenges faced by people working in music, including the pressures of the industry, mental health, financial uncertainty, isolation, burnout and the impact these can have on individuals, families and communities. We’ll be joined by Support Act, Australia’s music industry charity, and discuss how it supports musicians, crew and creative workers through challenging times. This includes the practical and emotional support available, the importance of reaching out for help, and how we can create a more supportive and connected community. Most importantly, this is an opportunity to share experiences, listen, ask questions and learn from one another. Whether you work in the music industry, love live music, or simply want to better understand the challenges faced by those behind the scenes, your perspective is welcome. There is no expectation to share anything personal. Come along, enjoy the conversation and discover how we can all play a part in looking after the people who make our music industry what it is. Let's start the conversation, break down the stigma and make sure no one in the music industry feels they have to face difficult times alone. Real conversations. Shared experiences. Supporting our Creative community.
