Teacher Environment Network – Sustainability in Action

Come and enjoy freshly made wood fired pizza, marvel at the beautiful native gardens, enjoy a tour by dedicated students and network with the Ballarat Community of Practice. This will be a ZERO WASTE Event so if you’re curious about how to make that happen at your school, now is your chance. This event showcases local, meaningful and hands-on sustainability education activities and initiatives. Primary and secondary school teachers, staff and leaders with an interest in sustainability, wellbeing, school food production, STEM and educating outdoors are invited to attend, including State, Catholic and Independent schools. You’ll leave with: • Hands-on activity ideas • Contact details, links and resources for further support, including the local Community of Practice • Propagated plants • Inspiration and a happy tummy! ResourceSmart Schools is a free, award-winning Victorian Government program. It helps schools embed sustainability across facilities, curriculum and community – while using less resources and saving money.
