The Gold Seeker with Andrew Bales

Andrew Bales is a qualified geologist with over 25 years’ experience in the mining industry. His passion is Gold, encompassing mining and exploration geology, resource, grade control and environmental impacts. Then there is his TV experience – you may have seen him on such networks as National Geographic, 7 Mate and Channel 9 or Sky News. Best known as the host of a series called The Weekend Prospector Andrew is an entertaining presenter and speaker, on and off screen. The topic of Andrew’s talk is, "Why we seek Gold?" He’ll discuss what drives us as humans to find gold, encompassing some science and geology around how gold is formed. He’ll describe why he’s chased gold all his life and include many entertaining stories around this consuming passion.
