Active Adventure Days - Beach Day

Enjoy an active beach day with a scenic walk, swim and time outdoors. Perfect for NDIS participants who enjoy being active and adventurous. Date: Tuesday 27th October Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: [Beach/Location to be confirmed] Get ready for an active day at the beach! Participants will enjoy a beach walk followed by time for a swim and relaxing outdoors. We'll spend the day getting active, enjoying the fresh air and socialising with the group. Participants should bring suitable clothing, swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, water and anything else they may need for a day at the beach. Lunch is not included. Participants can either BYO lunch or bring money to purchase lunch and drinks. Love getting outdoors and being active? This Active Adventure Day is a great opportunity to enjoy the beach, get some exercise and have some fun with the group! The day is designed for participants who are comfortable with longer walks, a faster walking pace and uneven surfaces, including sand and other natural terrain. We'll enjoy a scenic beach walk before having some time to swim and relax. It's a great day for participants who enjoy being active, exploring the outdoors and taking on a little adventure! NDIS Costs The NDIS support rate is $73.58 per hour. The activity runs for 6 hours, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with an additional 1 hour of non-face-to-face administration time. Example: 6-hour activity + 1 hour admin = 7 hours total billed time ÷ number of participants. Total billable time: 7 hours 7 hours × $73.58 = $515.06 total Based on the minimum group size of 3 participants: $515.06 ÷ 3 = approximately $171.69 per person Approximate NDIS cost per participant based on group size: • 3 participants: $171.69 per person Minimum group size: 3 participants Maximum group size: 10 participants Please note that 1:1 support is billed separately where required. Out-of-Pocket Costs There is no specified entry fee for this activity. Participants will need to bring money to purchase lunch and drinks if they do not wish to BYO lunch. Alternatively, participants are welcome to BYO lunch and drinks. Any personal purchases are the participant's responsibility and are separate from NDIS support costs. Who Can Join This activity is suitable for NDIS participants who enjoy being active and getting outdoors. Active Adventure Days are designed for participants who are comfortable with: • Longer walks at a steady to faster pace. • Walking on sand, uneven ground and natural surfaces. • Being outdoors for extended periods. • Swimming or spending time at the beach. • Participating in an active and social day out. Participants should have the fitness capacity to comfortably participate in the planned beach walk and activities. What to Bring Participants should bring: • Comfortable walking shoes. • Swimwear. • Towel. • Sunscreen. • Hat. • Water bottle. • BYO lunch or money to purchase lunch. • Money for drinks if required. • Any personal items needed for a day at the beach.
