The symposium brings together leading medical specialists, respiratory experts and community advocates to provide crucial information on the dangers of exposure, prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of occupational and environmental dust diseases, including mesothelioma, asbestosis and silicosis. Date: Friday 13th November 2026 Time: 9am - 12pm Location: The Cathedral of St Stephen, Elizabeth Street Brisbane This event focuses on educating homeowners, trades and DIY renovators across Brisbane about hidden risks and safe handling of asbestos, and providing information on recent advancements in treatment and medical management of the disease. It aims to connect impacted individuals, families and carers with support services, awareness and practical resources to minimise the impact of these illnesses.
