Whiteman, who will be in-conversation with Mal Rerden Seagull Speaking: From One Soldier to Another is a candid and practical guide to military life in the Australian Army. Drawing on over twenty-five years of service, Whiteman weaves memoir, guidance, and honest reflections from soldiers and their families, tracing the journey from enlistment through to life after uniform. The book demystifies training, culture, administration, deployments, and the challenges faced by those who serve. Through humour, sharp observation, and real stories, Whiteman explores resilience, leadership, ethics, and the bonds of mateship.
