Each Consumed event is designed around an archetypal theme, inviting us to experience ideas not only through conversation, but through the simple act of sharing a meal. Weaving in folklore, mythology, ecological food history, and a side of the psychospiritual, these are dinner events for curious minds. Join us on Friday 27th November for a five-course feast. Each course will be paired with a story of otherness, including queerness in folklore, mythic monsters, and the devil himself. Together, we’ll explore the archetype of ‘the other’ and what it means to be exiled, drawing on themes from folklore, mythology, the tarot, and ecological food wisdom. What's included? Your experience includes a five course plant-based meal with all drinks included, a guided exploration of the archetype of ‘the other’, a printed summary of the mythic stories we share, plus a goodie bag to take home, with items designed to help you continue your experience beyond the evening. Tell me about the food! Each plant-based course has been thoughtfully crafted to honour food as both nourishment and ritual. Over the course of the evening, we’ll explore the cultural, ecological, scientific, and esoteric history of plant foods. Our menu has been designed to remind you of the simultaneously simple yet sacred nature of sharing a meal prepared with intention. Bubbles on arrival, a signature cocktail or mocktail with your first course, plus wine with each course are included as part of your experience. Non-alcholic options will be available. Our menu is plant based, with vegan and gluten free options available – please indicate any dietary restrictions or food allergies on your order form. This isn't a lecture. It isn't just a dinner.
