Mount Gravatt Lookout via Toohey Forest 📍 Toohey Forest – Serpentine National Park 🗓 Saturday 31st October ⏰ Meet 7:15am | Start 7:30am 🥾 Distance: 9 KLMS ⛰️ Elevation: 216 m 💪 Difficulty: Moderate ⏳ Approx. 2.5 - 3 hours hours This hike will require moderate fitness levels. Just 10 minutes from Brisbane’s CBD, Toohey Forest Park covers about 260 hectares. It’s home to a diverse range of wildlife and includes picnic areas, walking tracks and shared trails. It also offers scenic views of the city and the surrounding suburbs. This area is home to over 400 species of native wildlife and plant species. It winds through eucalypt forests, rainforest species along creeks and gullies. You may spot wattle, she-oaks, heath species, creepers, and grass trees along the way. Squirrel gliders, short-beaked echidnas, lace monitors, kookaburras, rainbow lorikeets, lizards, goannas, skinks and geckoes. Please ensure you wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the conditions.
