Mini Q End of Year Performance 2026

Ensemble Q's educational program features the mentoring of four 13 and 14 year old string players, formed as a string quartet under the Ensemble Q banner of Mini Q. Comprising violinists Coco Li, Alessandro Martinese, violist Serena Kang and cellist Samuel Wu, they were awarded an AUSTA String Prize for their performance at the 2026 Musica Viva Strike a Chord competition; they performed an entire recital of Ravel, Beethoven and Joplin at The Queensland Club and opened the Ensemble Q 2026 Season with an incredible performance of Ravel. They most recently had the privilege of being tutored by Australian Chamber Orchestra superstars Helena Rathbone and Aiko Goto and are regularly tutored by members of Ensemble Q including Trish Dean, Paul Dean, Anne Horton and Phoebe Russell. The program features the Shostakovich String Quartet No 8 and Haydn's String Quartet No. 63 in B flat major op. 76-4 Hob. III: 78 "Sunrise". There will be no door sales or walk-ins, tickets only available online via Humanitix.
