This motorcycle course develop's your machine control skills by practicing simulated real-world hazards on our training range. motoDNA Skills Training will reduce your risk on the street by practising the correct and intuitive reactions to simulated real-world hazards under the guidance of our Motorcycle Coaches. Skills Training is about machine control and you, the riders’ ability to match the performance of their motorcycle. Higher skill means your ability to react quickly and avoid hazards, plus more headspace for ROADCRAFT and hazard awareness, plus more fun on your motorcycle journey. For example, most road bikes can stop at 1.2g, but our data shows most riders can only manage an emergency stop at 0.6g, using only half of the braking performance of their motorcycle. This full-day training course starts with a classrom theory session then focuses on improving throttle, braking, steering, vision, and body position. It is conducted on the training range at the RACQ Mobility Centre in MT Cotton, Brisbane. You will complete a series of drills developed from real-world accident scenarios so you can develop intuitive machine control that include: · Figure 8 circuit · Emergency braking · Straight line avoidance · Cornering avoidance · Slow speed balance · Plus much more … Training is delivered using our partner motoDNA - 3 pillar SKILL, CRAFT & MIND riding system, developed over 15 years with 15,000 riders. Participants must hold one of the following licence classes: RE – provisional, probationary or open R – open Unlicensed riders and RE learner licence holders are not eligible. Students ride their own bike and ride in your road gear while training is conducted in a small group environment, so you get plenty of support while the group all learn from each other's experience.
