Joining them are local artistes Sri Aswin Narayan on violin and Dr Arthavan Selvanathan on kanjira. Together, the four musicians will bring melody and rhythm into conversation, combining the artistry of visiting performers with the talent of Brisbane’s own musical community. From the unfolding of a raga to the energy of rhythmic improvisation, the concert offers an opportunity to experience the spontaneity and interplay at the heart of a live Carnatic performance. It is also a celebration of the connections that music creates across countries, generations and communities.
