Desperate for the truth, he even enlists his young son, Yniold, to spy on the pair, driving the story toward its tragic conclusion. Debussy’s lush, impressionistic score, interwoven with conversational yet profoundly expressive vocal lines, brings this poignant drama vividly to life. A perfect marriage of theatre and music.
