Whether you're a fan of bold brass, a subtle touch of jazz or have an appreciation for delicate chamber music pushing the limits of brass performance, this has it all. The first half of this program will bring you on a great journey through staples and historical landmarks of the brass ensemble genre paired with some entertaining arrangements which demonstrate the vast capabilities of the group. Janáček's rarely performed Sinfonietta, initially written for full orchestra (and 25 brass players), is reimagined for brass ensemble in this concert.
