Zumba Gold Chair Moorooka (Free Class: Move Well Brisbane Program)

Zumba Gold Chair Moorooka Zumba Gold classes provide a fun and simple dance-fitness workout where you can move at your own pace to zesty Latin rhythms and other music from around the world. This Zumba Gold Chair class is suitable for seniors, people with low mobility and wheelchair users. It is a low-intensity, low-impact, chair-based exercise class, with standing options available for those who are able and wish to stand. The chair format can be adapted to a range of abilities and individual needs – including those with balance issues, a lower limb injury, reduced mobility, or who don't have the capacity for a standing class. Free Class: Move Well Brisbane Program This FREE activity has been funded by Brisbane City Council as part of Council's Move Well Brisbane Program (previously: Active & Healthy Program). ​ Choose the right ticket when booking There are three ways to participate in this class: 1. Staying seated for the whole class → CHAIR ticket This includes participants who use a wheelchair. 2. Alternating between sitting and standing → CHAIR ticket If you alternate between sitting and standing, your chair is your base. When standing, you stand behind your chair. 3. Remaining standing for the whole class → STANDING ticket Standing-only participants have a designated standing area separate from the chair area. If you need a chair available to you at any point during the class, please book a CHAIR ticket. Bookings are required The class has a maximum capacity of 20 participants: • 10 CHAIR places • 10 STANDING places Bookings open 4 weeks before each class. Class full? If the class or your preferred ticket type is full, please join the waitlist. If a place becomes available, Humanitix will notify people on the waitlist. If you've booked but can no longer attend, please cancel your booking as soon as possible so your place can be offered to someone on the waitlist. Please don't book the other ticket type if it isn't suitable for you. For example, if you need a chair, join the CHAIR waitlist rather than booking a STANDING place. 2026 Classes Mondays 1:30pm to 2:30pm Moorooka Community Centre 13 July to 7 December 2026 No classes: • 28 September – hall unavailable • 5 October – King's Birthday 2027 Classes Mondays 1:30pm to 2:30pm Moorooka Community Centre 11 January to 14 June 2027 No classes: • 29 March – Easter Monday • 26 April – ANZAC Day public holiday • 3 May – Labour Day You can book up to 4 weeks in advance. What to Wear & Bring: • Wear your workout gear or comfortable clothes and supportive sneakers that you can exercise in. • Bring a water bottle • Optional: Bring light hand weights (maximum 1kg each) for the toning section Chairs are supplied.
