Original songs, soulful harmonies and kooky cabaret mischief! Join Lizzy & The Woods and Faux Mo for an intimate, delightfully offbeat night A Little Bent: Songs, Stories & Other PeculiaritiesLizzy & The Woods with special guests Faux Mo Cairns, we're back — and we're bringing some friends. Following recent appearances at Wallaby Creek Festival, award-winning performers Lizzy & The Woods return with an evening devoted to the age-old pleasures of a good song, a cracking story and the occasional unexpected detour into the wonderfully absurd. At its heart, Lizzy & The Woods is a meeting of two musical storytellers. Expect soulful vocals, beautiful harmonies and original songs that wander through folk, country, blues and soul, delivered with warmth, wit and a generous dose of larrikin charm. It's the kind of music that rewards a listening ear: intimate, heartfelt and full of character. But there's a slightly bent edge to this gathering. Lizzy D. Smith is also the much-loved cabaret comedian Miss Friby, an award-winning performer known for her eccentric stage antics and gloriously off-kilter theatricality. Woody Clark is an award-winning children's entertainer whose musical storytelling has delighted audiences young and old. Together, they bring a lifetime of performance experience to a new musical collaboration — where a beautiful harmony might be followed by a peculiar tale, a cheeky aside or something altogether unexpected. Joining them are Faux Mo, the kooky piano duo with a penchant for zany original songs and delightfully sideways sensibilities. Think intimate listening-room concert meets eccentric parlour gathering. Original music, tall tales, unexpected harmonies and a sprinkling of cabaret mischief — all in the spirit of that wonderfully old-fashioned art of getting together and sharing a story. Come curious. Leave with a song in your head and, quite possibly, a few questions. Doors 7pm | 7:30pm Start | 9:30pm Finish
