Go Clubs Workshop Series: Child Safeguarding

Is your club child safe? Understand new legal requirements, reporting obligations and best-practice safeguarding. Queensland's child safety requirements have changed. Join this practical workshop to understand the Child Safe Organisations Act 2024, the 10 Child Safe Standards, and the Reportable Conduct Scheme, and what they mean for your club. Through real-world examples and practical guidance, you'll learn how to meet your child safety obligations, strengthen safeguarding practices, and create a safer environment for children and young people. Participants will also receive practical resources and a self-assessment tool to help identify areas for improvement and support ongoing compliance. Suitable for: Club committee members, coaches, volunteers, administrators and anyone involved in working with children and young people. Attendance: We strongly encourage participants to attend in person to maximise networking opportunities, peer learning and engagement with the facilitator. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream option will be available. When registering, please select the Online Attendance ticket option. Light refreshments will be provided. Cost: Free.
