Silk Glow: Create your own Wet-Felted Lamp

The featured jellyfish lamp is one creative possibility. You may take inspiration from marine life, tropical botanicals or organic forms, explore an abstract design, or simply follow the colours and materials that appeal to you. You will learn how to lay fine layers of merino wool, incorporate silk-paper shapes and decorative fibres, and felt the layers together to create a strong and beautifully textured finish. Clear demonstrations and individual guidance will be provided throughout the workshop. All wool, silk materials, felting equipment, electric table lamp and bulb are included. You will take home your own unique handcrafted lamp. No previous felting or artistic experience is required. Suitable for adults and young people aged 16 years and over.
