Art, Architecture and a Lifetime of Drawing

About the exhibition A familiar member of the Canberra and Queanbeyan arts communities, including ASOC and the Queanbeyan Art Society, Trevor has pursued art alongside a long career in architecture. Curated from his personal archive in celebration of his 85th year, the exhibition reveals decades of close observation, inventive design and creative practice—from life drawings and watercolours to architectural plans and projects that have helped shape the local region. Among the works are Trevor’s 1996 architectural drawings for the site now home to The Queanbeyan Hive, bringing the story rather wonderfully full circle. The exhibition runs throughout October, with its final weekend forming part of the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Arts Trail — a celebration of artists, studios, galleries and creative spaces across the region.
