See you there.*** Book Doof Canberra is launching at Gang Gang, with the beanbags out and the cafe transformed into a cosy sanctuary — an afternoon of reading, good tunes, and quiet community. Here's how it works: bring whatever you're reading (or grab something from our shelf), find a comfy spot, and read in the same room as everyone else for a couple of hours. No small talk required, no book club discussion, no pressure — just the simple, slightly rebellious pleasure of reading with strangers instead of alone. There's time to chat at the end, and of course, always the option to go outside. Come alone, bring your housemate, your book club, or your book-loving kid - Book Doof is for everyone. Grant Krupp, founder of Book Doof (Melbourne), will be attending and curating a playlist of ambient electro tunes. Gang Gang will offer their usual amazing menu, with the Sunday special of kids eat free from 5pm. Canberra Writers Festival are proudly supporting this event — you'll have the chance to browse the festival program, or even pick up a book before seeing the author between 15–18 October.
