Come along to a Disability Advisory Council (DAC) hosted Disability Yarning Circle on Wednesday 23 September 2026. The ACT Disability Advisory Council invites Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability and their families to lunch, to yarn and connect. Date: Wednesday 23 September 2026 Time: 10:00am to 2:00pm (morning tea and lunch) Where: Boomanulla Oval, 169 Goyder St Narrabundah Cost: free Deborah Eades and Betty Callow are proud Aboriginal women and members of the ACT Disability Advisory Council who have experience as carers for family members with disability. Hear from First People’s Disability Network (FPDN) who are leading a new project that will focus on co-designing funding opportunities with community for Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (existing and emerging) seeking to deliver culturally safe disability supports in the ACT. The project will establish a Community Advisory Group to develop funding guidelines and provide advice and recommendations to ACT Government on future funding priorities and directions.
