Lines In the Water - Book Launch at Paperchain

Join us at Paperchain for the launch of Lines In the Water: 60 Years of the Canberra Game Fishing Club, by Judy Sillis. How did a landlocked city, around 150km from the nearest coastal boat ramp, give birth to a game fishing legacy? The club began as a way for a keen game fisherman, transplanted from Queensland to Canberra, to follow his passion. For six decades, through highs and lows, the club has seen incredible change. This is a record of the men and women from all backgrounds, united by a love of saltwater game fishing, who shaped this club. These men and women built a strong foundation upon which the next generations of anglers will build our club's future. Judy Sillis has been a member of the Canberra Game Fishing Club for more than forty years. She has been mentored and encouraged in her game fishing journey by some great anglers from within the club. She has witnessed some magnificent catches and angling achievements by club members. This history recognises these past achievements and seeks to inspire current and future members to strive for further excellence. All within the spirit of camaraderie that we love in our sport.
