New to Mandarin? Learn pinyin, the key to reading and speaking it, through a 2-hour card game. Total beginners welcome. New to Mandarin? Start here, with a deck of cards. Pinyin is the key that unlocks Mandarin: it’s how you read, type and pronounce every word. Most people learn it from charts and lists. At Play Pinyin, you learn it by playing. In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll play card games built around the three building blocks of pinyin: initials (like b, zh, x), finals (like ao, ing, üe) and the four tones.
