The Feelings Garden

In The Feelings Garden, Jo Shipley invites children into a gentle, imaginative world where flowers, crystals, breath and energy become playful tools for exploring the wonderful (and sometimes confusing!) world of emotions. Rather than telling children that certain feelings are "good" or "bad", they'll discover that every feeling has something to tell us. What will they explore? 🌺 Flower essences and the different emotional qualities traditionally associated with flowers 💎 Crystals as tactile, sensory tools for focusing attention and intention 🌱 The idea that feelings can change, just like flowers change and grow 🌬️ A simple breathing technique to help create a moment of calm ✨ A gentle energy-awareness practice children can use when they feel overwhelmed 💗 Simple ways to recognise and name what they're feeling Through storytelling, flowers, crystals and playful activities, children will begin building their own little toolkit for navigating big emotions. It's a beautiful introduction to the idea that we don't have to push our feelings away — we can pause, notice them and learn ways to feel more grounded. A magical little garden of emotional wisdom that children can take with them long after the workshop ends. This session is designed as a playful mindfulness and emotional-awareness experience and is not intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
