MAGNT After Dark | Insect Investigations

Explore the museum by torchlight and learn how to set up insect traps. Join the MAGNT Education team for an excursion in the Museum after dark. View invertebrates in the Tiny Territory exhibition and learn how to set insects traps outside. Enjoy dinner and a tour by torchlight with other emerging entomoligsts then use digital microscopes to make detailed observations and see if you can identify what you've found! Event Schedule: 5:00pm | Registration, welcome and briefing in the Theatrette 5:20pm | Tour of Tiny Territory exhibition 6:00pm | Set up Insect Trap 6:30pm | Dinner in the MAGNT Entry Undercroft 7:00pm | Torch-light tour of the Museum 7:30pm | Collect and observe Insects Suitable for ages 10 to 15 years | Free | Bookings essential | This is a family program | Accompanying adults are required| One adult can supervise up to children. Please cancel your booking if you are no longer able to make it to free up tickets for others. Key Information Arrive at MAGNT between 4:45pm and 5:00pm to register at the Information Desk. Parents and carers must complete a MAGNT After Dark Permission Form on registration. MAGNT staff will have a basic first aid kit. Please bring any medication you require to maintain your personal health and safety.
