📍 Surf Coast Walk, Torquay 📅 Saturday 13 Feb 2027 🕙 Meet at 10:00am at Bells Beach Carpark. https://maps.app.goo.gl/c1hngy1zn1iqf2D59 Join us for a relaxed and social group hike along one of Victoria's most iconic coastal trails. The Surf Coast Walk takes in dramatic clifftop views, the birthplace of Australian surfing at Jan Juc, and the world-famous break at Bells Beach, with sweeping ocean views the whole way. This event is designed for people who enjoy getting outdoors, meeting new people, and challenging themselves at their own pace. Whether you're a regular hiker or just getting started, you're welcome to join. This is an adult-only (18+) event. Unfortunately we're unable to accommodate pets, though registered assistance animals are welcome. Walk Difficulty This is considered a moderate walk, with clifftop tracks, some sandy sections, and a few short climbs. • Approx. 11km return • Mix of clifftop trail, boardwalk, and beach sections • Allow around 3–3.5 hours depending on pace • Reasonable fitness recommended — the trail is exposed with minimal shade We'll take breaks as needed and keep the group together. Getting There Torquay is about 1 to 1.5 hours' drive from Melbourne CBD via the M1 and the Surf Coast Highway, depending on traffic and your starting point. Parking is available at the Bells Beach Carpark. Carpooling is encouraged for those who'd like to share a ride — an optional WhatsApp group link will be sent at least a week before the event, so you can coordinate lifts directly with other attendees. Please note the carpool arrangements are between individuals, and Oot & Aboot isn't involved in organising specific rides. Joining is completely optional — your phone number may be visible to other members — and the group will be deleted 3 days after the event.
