"Rocking the Boat" A life in Three Voyages - an RGYC Cruising Dinner

Join us for an engaging evening with sailor, educator and author Ruth Boydell as she shares the extraordinary story of her life at sea, from setting off on her first ocean voyage at just seventeen to sailing halfway around the world in her own small boat. Through stories of adventure, heavy weather, challenges and personal discoveries, Ruth reflects on the experiences that shaped her journey, from teaching sailing, seamanship and navigation in Newcastle to her work today as a death doula and educator. Told through the lens of three significant voyages, this is a story of courage, resilience, relationships and following your own path, both on and off the water. 📅 Thursday 12th November 2026 🕕 Time: 6:00pm, with dinner at 6:30pm 📍 Location: West Lounge, Royal Geelong Yacht Club Member Tickets: $35 Non-Member Tickets: $40 Ticket price includes dinner.
