Creative Club with Kate Lardner | The Living Tapestry Term 4 Taster Series

Fortnightly Monday mornings of art, mark-making and material play for ages 6 to 11, ahead of our February 2027 opening. The Living Tapestry opens its doors in February 2027, and this term we're inviting families to come and see what we're about, one Monday morning at a time. Creative Club is where children explore their ideas through art, mark-making, image and material, working with their hands and following their curiosity to see where it takes them. Sessions are led by Kate Lardner, co-founder of The Living Tapestry, who came to this work from furniture design and has a deep belief in what happens when children are trusted to make things their own way. Her focus is on helping each child notice what they're drawn to, trust that instinct, and watch it take shape in front of them, because a child who trusts themselves will find their creativity grows from there quite naturally. Sessions run fortnightly through Term 4 at Tallebudgera Valley Community Hall, alternating with Nature Club, so families who'd like to can join us every Monday of the term. Each session stands on its own, so you can book one, a few or all five. Ages 6 to 11. Sessions run 9:30 to 11:30am and cost $35 each. This is a drop-off session, so you're welcome to head off once your child has settled in and come back to collect them at 11:30am. Please pack a water bottle, a hat, a small snack and clothes that can handle paint and glue. Questions can go to [email protected].
