Creative Club: Young Song Writers Club

Free classes for kids aged 7-12 years to create music, write songs, make beats and tell stories with leading Australian artists The Art of Song Writing with HaydenGoSeek (Wednesday 2 and 9 September) In this fun, hands-on workshop, we'll explore simple songwriting techniques and create a brand-new song together on the spot. Hayden will help you write your own original lyrics to a catchy melody. No experience needed, just bring your ideas and imagination! Loops and Lyrics with HaydenGoSeek (Wednesday 16 September) Make original music using loops and beats! Learn how simple ideas can grow into a full song as Hayden shows you how to build tracks, create grooves and write lyrics on top. It’s creative, interactive and a great way to develop a music-making flow state. The Story Inside with MJ (Wednesday 23 September) Write songs, explore rhythm and build confidence, while discovering that everyone has a story worth sharing. Popstar Era with Elska (Wednesday 30 September) Ever dreamed of becoming a pop star? It’s time to step into your Popstar Era, at this fun, high-energy workshop for aspiring performers, music lovers and creative spirits! Discover your own pop artist identity, write a catchy song hook, develop stage presence and step into the spotlight! ABOUT THE ARTISTS HaydenGoSeek is an international touring expert songwriter/musician who will teach you the art of songwriting. With over 20 years and thousands of songs experience, Hayden will demonstrate techniques and skills that will have you writing songs like a pro. During the workshops we will write songs together and then work as individuals to create our own melodic magic MJ is a dynamic singer songwriter and creative leader based in the Gold Coast, Queensland. With decades of experience across music performance, live events and artist development, MJ is committed to strengthening BIPOC and First Nations visibility in the arts. With expertise in transforming ideas into impactful outcomes MJ is dedicated to nurturing artists and their artistry through every stage of their creative story. ELSKA is an award-winning pop artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music educator passionate about helping people discover their creative voice. With experience performing for brands including TikTok, Brisbane Festival, FIFA Women’s World Cup, and delivering a TEDx keynote on creativity; ELSKA creates engaging music experiences for children and families, combining her professional songwriting knowledge with a playful, inclusive approach to music education. Her workshops encourage young people to experiment, express themselves and discover that they are not just music listeners - they are music creators.
