Join us for our FIFTH annual charity luncheon! EVENT DETAILS Friday 9th October - 11:30am - 5pm - Ballroom at Sheraton Mirage Gold Coast Dr Drew Moffrey is a Private Obstetrician and Gynaecologist whose practice is located at Pindara Hospital. Drew is a local Gold Coaster who offers care for all women’s health issues, providing services in all things gynaecology to fertility, pregnancy to menopause and beyond. Dr Drew believes in patient – focused holistic care where he provides evidence – based options and facilitates your health choices. Drew has a passion for raising awareness of pregnancy loss and daily supports patients and their families who endure the pain and loss of their precious babies. He prides himself on going above and beyond to offer them guidance, care and comfort in these difficult times. Dr Drew Moffrey is joining with The Pink Elephants Support Network to help raise much-needed funds for those that experience pregnancy loss and fertility challenges. Pink Elephants provide the latest resources, information and peer-support for anyone impacted by pregnancy loss. Using evidence, empathy and connection, our unique digital-first approach offers a single source of specialist support, whenever and wherever it’s needed — for anyone who has directly experienced it, for family and friends, or healthcare professionals seeking proven ways to help. Pink Elephants aims to rewrite the story of pregnancy loss by smashing the stigma and leading a new narrative, creating a healthier experience for all. Every 5 minutes, someone experiences a miscarriage in Australia. • In Australia, a miscarriage is the loss of a baby prior to 20 weeks gestation. • Miscarriage impacts 1 in 4 pregnancies in Australia. • Every year, 103,000 women in Australia will lose their baby to miscarriage. • Around 285 miscarriages occur every day. • The mental health event most likely to impact women in their lifetime. • 74% of women who have suffered a pregnancy loss felt they received inadequate support or information. Pink Elephants are still the only national support service specific to pregnancy loss prior to 20 weeks. With October being Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, the charity lunch will be held at The Ballroom at Sheraton Grand Mirage Gold Coast on Friday 9th October from 11:30 - 5pm.
