Join My Catch Australia ahead of the Pest Fishing Classic for a beginner-friendly session on protecting our waterways. Join My Catch Australia ahead of the Pest Fishing Classic for a beginner-friendly session on protecting our waterways. Learn to identify invasive pest fish like tilapia and carp and recognise signs of nests on a guided walk. We’ll also cover legal requirements, humane handling, and helpful tips to support your fishing journey. Bring your own rod, gear and bait for a guided, hands-on experience. There will be an opportunity to cast a line, however catching fish is not guaranteed. IMPORTANT INFORMATION • Family-friendly suitable for ages 7 and up. • Participants under 16 years must be accompanied by a guardian for the duration of event • Unsupervised outdoor event near waterways In Partnership with City of Gold Coast and My Catch Australia
