About the Hiking Club Imagine standing at the top of a Gold Coast hinterland trail, boots muddy, lungs full of fresh air, surrounded by people who made the climb with you. The Hiking Club is a monthly outdoor program where participants explore a new National Park or bush track on the last Friday of every month. Set across the Gold Coast hinterland and beyond, every hike is chosen for its scenery, accessibility, and sense of adventure, and every one is a little different from the last. No prior experience needed. Just a good pair of boots and an appetite for adventure. What to expect each month Each session runs as a full day outdoor experience. Participants will: • Head out to a new National Park or bush track on the Gold Coast hinterland • Explore trails chosen for scenery, challenge, and sense of discovery • Learn about the natural environment from experienced mentors • Push their limits at their own pace alongside a small, supportive group • Build real confidence in outdoor settings with every hike Who it's for The Hiking Club is an NDIS-funded program open to young people and young adults. Small groups mean every participant gets genuine time with their mentors and peers. Not just a walk, but a day worth showing up for. What participants will gain By the end of the program, participants will have built confidence in outdoor and natural environments, physical fitness and trail skills, knowledge of local landscapes and ecosystems, and meaningful friendships formed on the trail.
