Veteran Zoo Keeper Program Term Three 2026

Veterans are getting back to nature, jumping at the chance to take part in Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s dedicated Veteran’s Wildlife Studies program. 2026 Term Three dates are now advertised, which sees you go behind the scenes at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary each Tuesday morning to experience. There will be key focuses each week such as: • The Importance of Zoos • Animal husbandry • Enrichment and Exhibit design • Wildlife Hospital / rehab facilities • Visit our Food Preparation area where we store all food and supplements for all park • Volunteering & education courses and careers at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Details of each Tuesday morning: • Tuesday morning, 9:30am - 11:30am. • Meet 9:15am @ Cafe Entrance of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. • Transport: We take a community bus to the sanctuary each week, if you would like a lift to the sanctuary please meet by 9am at the Veteran Support Centre - 164 Duringan St Currumbin. Alternate option is to take your own transport to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary • Parking: On street parking is available free of charge. To park at the Sanctuary carpark there is a $10 parking fee. • Bookings strictly limited so register asap. • Must be either a Current or Ex Serving Defence member to attend.
