Wild Words is where you come to listen to the heartbeat of the writer in you. In stunning surroundings of lush nature, and rustic yet luxurious warmth of a carefully selected property, you’ll have trouble pulling your pen off the page as you’ll feel so connected to your artistry. You’ll use this time to get honest with your writing - raw, resonant, real. The poetry that stays with us is always written by someone brave enough to tell the truth. Our venue has many private & comfortable writing nooks, both indoors and out. You’ll need not search for beauty for inspiration, as it will be wherever your eyes fall. Whether you’ve never written before, write occasionally, or already have a regular practice, you’re welcome here. WHAT TO EXPECT • A grounding practice to help you arrive and settle into the afternoon • Thoughtfully curated resources and inspiration to get you in the zone • Your own beautiful journal to write in and take home • Pristine yet wild, idyllic grounds to wander and create within • Nourishing afternoon tea, nibbles and refreshments • Unhurried spaciousness to write at your own pace • Optional opportunities to share your piece/s • Option to stay for a sauna, and/or a chat around the fire pit, with a tea or a red wine (provided) Stay a little longer... For those who wish to linger in luxuriating, keeping the pause on to-do lists a while longer, there are two private rooms available for overnight stay at this stunning country retreat. Enjoy your own private sauna, soak in the deep clawfoot bath, wander the peaceful grounds, or settle by the fire with a glass of wine and easy conversation. If solitude beckons, retreat to your room to perhaps continue your wild writing. Your stay includes a delicious homemade dinner (dietary requirements happily catered for), followed by breakfast in the morning. Take a stroll along the walking trail before heading home, carrying with you a nourished nervous system, and deeper appreciation for the wilderness in you.
