HOBART FORUM: Reef health in the D'Entrecasteaux Channel

Join IMAS marine ecologist and project lead, Dr Camille White, for a community update on the research underway in the Channel. Camille will share an overview of Pennicott Reef Health Project, the monitoring methods being used, and early insights from the first year of the five-year project. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session, chaired by Robert Pennicott, Chair of the Pennicott Foundation, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the project. About the project The Pennicott Reef Health Project is investigating the condition of reef ecosystems in the D'Entrecasteaux Channel and the natural and human-driven factors that influence their health. In partnership with the Pennicott Foundation, the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS) is undertaking a five-year research project to improve our understanding of these important ecosystems and support their long-term sustainability for future generations.
